Adelaide International Kite Festival 2026 – Watch the sky fill with colour, twists and twirls, kites of all shapes and size – when the Adelaide International Kite Festival returns to Semaphore Beach over the Easter long weekend.
Save the date for the annual Adelaide International Kite Festival – Saturday 4, Sunday 5 and Monday 6 April 2026.
Held along the Semaphore Beach and foreshore over the Easter long weekend, this popular family friendly event is a thrill for all ages and in addition to all the kite flying fun, the foreshore also hosts a bustling marketplace. Entry to the festival is free.
New for 2026 will be a twilight market on Friday 3 April, before the festival continues across Easter Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

About the Adelaide Kite Flyers Association Inc.
AKFA has been active here in South Australia since 1992. Since 2012 they have hosted the Adelaide International Kite Festival with the help of K Marie Events. They fly a variety of single-liners and sport kites, including a number of larger kites which are club-owned. Members also fly on the second Sunday of each month at Semaphore as well as many other events throughout the year.
