Enjoy, Explore, Preserve at Myponga Reservoir
Myponga Reservoir on-water access for kayaking available from 28 March 2021.
In April 2019, Myponga Reservoir Reserve became ours to enjoy with access for land-based recreational activities, which was then extended with an extra 3km of new trails. Shoreline fishing is also available with a permit, plus the fishing zone was then expanded.
As part of the State Government’s plan to improve recreational access at South Australia’s reservoirs, from 28 March 2021 on-water access for fishing and kayaking will be permitted too.
Myponga Reservoir
Nestled near the township of Myponga on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula, just 60 kilometres – or about an hour’s drive – south of Adelaide, you’ll find the Myponga Reservoir Reserve. Visitors to Myponga Reservoir can enjoy recreational access with activities such as walking, running or riding around bushland tracks with water views, family picnics, plus lookouts and viewing platforms to see and photograph wildlife and scenic vistas.
OPENING TIMES:
- 1 October to 31 March, 7.30am – 8pm
- 1 April to 30 September, 7.30am – 5pm
- Closed on Christmas Day, Total Fire Ban Days and for operational activity (gates will be closed)
