Lantern Workshops – Hahndorf Lantern Festival

Learn how to make candle lit paper and cane lanterns for the upcoming Hahndorf Lantern Festival. 

Make pyramid, curved or original shaped lanterns on multiple dates in July and August. 

It will take 2-3 sessions to finish a lantern depending on complexity. The lanterns stay at the supper room till the festival, then you can take it home on festival day. The Hahndorf Winter Lantern Festival will be held on Saturday 21 August 2021.

The workshops are held at the Hahndorf Institute in the Supper Room. Suitable for ages 8 – 16. Under 8’s can attend with parent/guardian.

Expert lantern artists Zinia, Bec, Alisha and Tony will assist. 

Maximum of 15 participants per session.

Dates & Times:

  • Monday 5, Wednesday 7, Monday 12, Wednesday 14, Saturday 24, Saturday 31 July 2021 | 1-3pm
  • Saturday 7 & 14 August 2021 | 1-3pm
