Mix102.3 has announced the winners of their much-anticipated annual Christmas Lights competition for 2023.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year, and there is nothing quite as magical as enjoying Christmas lights with your family and friends. Together with Fairmont Homes and Seven News Adelaide, the local radio station has brought the spirit of Christmas alive, discovering some of the best displays across the city.
With 94 entries across the greater Adelaide area, four winners were announced on The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show, with one from every corner of the city, winning a share in over $10K.
WINNERS ANNOUNCED:

COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- One of the youngest entrants, Steve Papaefstratiou from Park Holme, has been collecting Christmas Lights since he was 10 years old.
- Craig Bensch from Andrews Farm doesnβt use strings of lights like most displays, he uses and programs individual lights (synced to music) to create his display.
- Chris Braven from Morphett Vale collects leftover/discarded placards from election time and recycles them into Christmas decorations.
- Shane Lockyer from Seaford used down pipes to create train signals for his Polar Express train set up and he was even sat upon his roof as Santa in a sleigh on arrival!
- Alice Sharples and her husband from Oaklands Park custom designed and hand cut each wooden item in their display β very unique Christmas Lights design.
Families are encouraged to go and see the winning displays across Adelaide, locations can be viewed via an interactive map – VIEW THE MAP HERE.
