Butter & Toast – Sourdough Donuts | North Adelaide | Review

Butter & Toast – Sourdough Donuts | Review

There’s a new cafe in North Adelaide and it might possibly have the best donuts in Adelaide!

Butter & Toast make sourdough donuts, and can often be found at various markets, but they’ve just moved into a brick-and-mortar store on Melbourne Street in North Adelaide. This is a great stop for kids and adults alike for a sweet treat and a drink, and they’re currently open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (as at November 2022).

The small shopfront is bright and airy inside, and you’ll immediately spot their daily range of sourdough donuts on display at the counter. The hardest decision is which flavour to try – there are kid-friendly options like Raspberry Jam, Nutella and Strawberry Cheesecake. More adventurous eaters will love the Pandan, Ube, and Pistachio. The Vietnamese Coffee and Thai Milk Tea donuts  are sure to delight adult customers!

You can choose to sit outside under the umbrellas or inside by the window – either way you can sit and watch the world go by as you munch on your donuts. The cafe also serves coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Because the donuts are made with sourdough, they are a little less sweet and more flavourful than your regular donut. We really liked the taste, and they are very generous with the fillings.

If the regular donuts are too big for you, there are also mini donuts available to order in advance – get in touch with the bakers through their social media to order. Service at the cafe is friendly and fast – this place is a must-try for donut lovers, young and old.

Location:

Butter & Toast is located at 100 Melbourne Street, North Adelaide (just to the west of W Pallant Street) and is open on Fridays from 8am-2pm and Saturdays & Sundays from 9am-2pm.
