Five Things for Kids to Watch During School Holidays to Get Them Ready for Paris 2024
Stan has an inspirational selection of family friendly films to get kids ready for the upcoming Paris Olympics this month. School holidays are a time for relaxation and unwinding and watching movies online in the comfort of your own home can provide entertainment and a break from the busy school term routine.
Each selected film has inspirational themes or messages and they teach valuable lessons about friendship, courage, kindness, and more. Take a look at the five films below:
1. Windcatcher
The heartwarming story of a primary school boy who was born to run, and his friends who want to help him along the way.
YouTube Trailer:
2. Jamie Johnson
Jamie Johnson is a boy who’s destined to be a professional footballer. See how he balances schoolwork, friends and the dream to be an elite athlete.
3. Trailblazers
This one is PG, so make sure to preview it, before showing to little ones, even if they are excited about the Australian women’s football team.
The Australian women’s football team has a good chance of going far in the Olympics football tournament, so this one should be a good introduction to their history.

4. Stick It
This one is for kids who are a bit older, and more interested in just what it takes to compete at the highest level. Like Trailblazer’s, it’s also rated PG, so you may want to sit down with your older kids, and make sure it’s the right content for your own family’s preferences.
Watch the athleticism and drama unfold at an elite gymnastics academy.
5. Surf’s Up
A behind-the-scenes look at the annual Penguin World Surfing Championship, and its newest participant, up-and-comer Cody Maverick.
This one is suited for the little ones, and it’s a great introduction to surfing, which is only in its second time at the Olympics.
Just a few days after South Australian school holidays are over, the magic at Paris 2024 begins, so make sure to get ready to watch it with your family, and share in the excitement.
