New Christmas Movies Released on Netflix & Disney+ in Australia
With Christmas fast approaching and as the kids finish up school for the year, it’s time to cosy up and watch some cheesy Christmas flicks.
Everybody loves a good Christmas rom-com or funny family holiday movie to sit back and watch as the festive season draws near. This year, both Netflix and Disney+ have some fresh new selections that families can watch together. Not to mention, their huge backlog of Christmas classics that we love to come back to. We’ve put together all the new Christmas movies we could find that have been released in 2025 on Netflix and Disney+ in Australia.
New Christmas Movies on Netflix 2025:
A Merry Little Ex-Mas (PG)
Rom-com
Recently divorced Kate (Alicia Silverstone) is determined to pull off one last perfect family holiday before selling her beloved home. But when her ex-husband Everett (Oliver Hudson) shows up with his younger, picture-perfect new girlfriend, Kate’s holiday dream spirals into chaos.
Jingle Bell Heist (M)
Comedy/Romance
Sophia (Olivia Holt), a sharp-witted retail worker, and Nick (Connor Swindells), a down-on-his-luck repairman, are small-time thieves with their eyes on the same Christmas Eve score: robbing London’s most notorious department store. Forced into an uneasy alliance, as secrets surface and feelings for each other deepen, Sophia and Nick put their relationship and the heist in jeopardy.
Champagne Problems (PG)
Rom-com
Sydney is a determined executive who travels to France to secure the acquisition of a world-renowned champagne brand before Christmas, but her plans are upended when she falls into a whirlwind romance with a charming Parisian who turns out to be the founder’s son.
My Secret Santa (CTC)
Rom-com
A vivacious single-mom (Alexandra Breckenridge) in need of a job decides to disguise herself as a man in order to get hired as the seasonal Santa at a luxury ski resort. But when she starts to fall in love with the hotel manager (Ryan Eggold), complications develop that could ruin everything.

The Night My Dad Saved Christmas 2 (CTC)
Family/comedy
Christmas is back, and with it return these lovable characters, blessed with more luck than common sense. After accidentally taking Santa Claus’s (Santiago Segura) place in the first movie, they now face new challenges that threaten to ruin the holidays.
With their clumsy yet endearing charm, Salva (Ernesto Sevilla), Rafita (Pablo Chiapella), and Lucas (Unax Hayden) must once again find a way to save Christmas, in true Spanish comedy style.

Man vs Baby (TV Miniseries, CTC)
Family, comedy
After a job looking after a high-tech mansion ended in disaster thanks to an irritating insect in Man vs Bee, Trevor Bingley (Rowan Atkinson) has left the stressful world of housesitting for the quieter life of a school caretaker. That is, until a lucrative offer to look after a luxury London penthouse over Christmas proves too tempting to resist. But on the last day of term, when no one comes to collect the Baby Jesus from the school nativity, Trevor finds himself with another undersized and very unexpected companion. With a penthouse to protect and a baby to burp, will Trevor be able to have the calm Christmas he hopes for, or will festivities descend into chaos?

The film takes place just before Christmas, when an unexpected turn in their mother’s health thrusts four adult siblings and their exasperating father into chaos as they navigate messy family dynamics in the face of potential loss. But their quick-witted mother, June, orchestrates her decline on her own terms — with biting humour, blunt honesty, and a lot of love.

Lifestyle guru Joy Edwards (Emmanuelle Chriqui) – whose cookbooks feature her perfect home life and family – is horrified when a TV network decides to film Christmas dinner at her fabled, but fabricated, country home. Now, she must recruit her best friend Max (Chad Michael Murray) to pose as her fake husband for the cameras – but they both discover something real along the way.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw (PG)

Greg continually finds himself at odds with his dad’s outsized expectations. As pressure builds to turn his act around after a series of hilarious near disasters, Greg’s dad presents him with an ultimatum—and a trip to wilderness camp—that just might challenge Greg’s wimpy ways for good. The animated family misadventure is directed by Matt Danner (“Legend of the Three Caballeros”) and written and produced by award-winning series creator Jeff Kinney.
