Adelaide’s Biggest Bike Bus – Kidical Mass Adelaide 2026
Hundreds of children and families are expected to hop on their bikes for Adelaide’s Biggest Bike Bus on Sunday 13 September 2026, as Kidical Mass Adelaide celebrates its fifth anniversary.
Families will ride from neighbourhood meeting points across Adelaide before coming together at Torrensville Primary School for a free community event celebrating bike riding and calling for safer streets for children.
Kidical Mass Adelaide is part of a global movement encouraging safer, more child-friendly streets where children can walk, wheel and ride independently.
A bike bus works a little like a school bus on wheels, with children and supervising adults riding together along a planned route. For this special event, families will join from locations around Adelaide’s inner west before converging at Torrensville Primary School.
Organisers are advocating for 30km/h local streets, safer routes to schools and greater support for e-bikes as family transport.

The ride will start and finish at Torrensville Primary School, where families can enjoy:
- Children’s activities
- Food
- Prizes for the best-dressed bike
- A chance to meet other local families who enjoy riding and active travel
