Kids can join in the Adelaide Central Market’s free school holiday workshops, enjoying a range of free festive craft in the lead up to Christmas.
Kids can get creative at the Market this Christmas, with a range of fun craft activities during the first week of school holidays. Workshops are free and bookings are not required, however short wait times may apply.
Schedule:
- Tuesday 17 December 2024 (11am – 12pm) – Gingerbread cooking demonstration
- Wednesday 18 December 2024 (9.30am – 11.30am) – Christmas tree craft workshop
- Thursday 19 December 2024 (9.30am – 11.30am) – Reindeer art workshop
- Friday 20 December 2024 (9.30am – 11.30am) – Printmaking and gift card and tag workshop
Gingerbread Cooking Demonstration
Go along to the free school holiday cooking demonstration on Tuesday 17 December 2024 from 11am to 12pm, in partnership with the Hilton Adelaide. A Hilton patisserie chef will demonstrate how to bake the perfect gingerbread cookies with Market ingredients, and all the tips and tricks for the perfect decorations too. A few lucky kiddos will also get the opportunity to try their hand at decorating up on stage at the Community Kitchen.
But as watching is only half the fun, don’t worry, there will be plenty of samples to try afterwards too! This cooking demonstration is suitable for kids and adults, but make sure you get in early – seating is limited. You can also view the mini gingerbread village, made by Hilton Adelaide on the concierge desk, The Market Stall.
