The Great Solar System Adventure: Full Dome Experience: Adelaide Fringe 2025 Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars for an experience that’s part planetarium, part virtual ride and part animated adventure

The Full Dome Experience is an intimate dome with projected shows, much like a planetarium. You’ll have the chance to relax on beanbags and take in the show above and around you.
There are several different shows using the dome during this year’s Fringe, and the Great Solar System Adventure is a fantastic show suitable for kids. The quirky, steampunk style animation takes you on a journey through an orrery (model of the solar system), making visits at each planet and learning interesting facts along the way. The dome projection’s coverage of your field of vision means you feel as if you’re moving and flying through space – this is used to great effect as you soar through the asteroid belt and dive into a frozen chasm on Europa.
The show runs for 26 minutes, which is the perfect amount of time for a young child’s attention span. People that are prone to motion sickness might find the show triggers this – use your discretion.
The Full Dome Experience is located at the Dom Polski Centre on Angas Street in the city, away from the main Fringe hubs. It’s about a 20 minute walk from The Garden of Unearthly Delights, but we recommend driving and parking nearby if you have small children. There are drinks and snacks available in the lobby of the Dom Polski Centre.
