Chasing The Gold | Film to Raise Funds for Surf Lifesaving | 30 Jan – 1 Feb 2026

A new documentary film, Chasing The Gold, featuring Australia’s greatest ironman, Ali Day, is helping to raise vital funds for South Australian Surf Life Saving Clubs, including West Beach, Seacliff and Semaphore, as part of a national film tour.
Created by acclaimed Australian filmmaker Wes Greene, Chasing The Gold explores the history of surf life saving and Australia’s iconic Coolangatta Gold endurance race, following Ali Day, rising star Conner Maggs, and reigning champion Lana Rogers through the race’s gruelling 40th anniversary and giving a raw, inspiring look at what it takes to compete at the highest level.
Timed with Ali’s final competitive season, every ticket sold helps raise vital funds to help support grassroots lifesaving programs, training and essential equipment.
