Working Sheep Dog Trial | Finniss | 13 & 14 June 2026

Watch some amazing dogs in action at the Working Sheep Dog Trial.
Working Sheepdog trials give handlers the opportunity to compete at the highest possible level of competition with their working dogs in a recognised sport. Sheepdog trials have evolved over the years and continue to grow in popularity throughout Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world.
On Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June, head to Finniss Cricket Oval to watch all the action, starting from 8.30am each day. Entry is free and onsite catering will be provided by the Finniss Hall Committee.
Sheep Dog Trials:
The course consists of four obstacles which replicate some of the types of tasks that might be found on a farm such as gates, ramps and pens. Each competitor starts with 100 points. Points are deducted over a fifteen minute time frame, with points being deducted for the sheep being off course and for failure to complete sections of the course.
Location:
Finniss Cricket Oval, Finniss
