St Andrew’s Reserve Playground | Andrews Farm | Review
A castle themed playground just opened up in the north of Adelaide at Andrews Farm.

When we heard the news that a $1.7 million dollar playground had opened up in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, we knew we had to check it out! Located in Andrews Farm and opened by the developer Villawood, the playground has been touted as the latest tourist attraction to the area and a nice spot to bring the community together.
On first impressions we liked the natural elements woven into the space, wooden obstacles to climb on, lots of green space and as we visited at the start of spring the playground was surrounded by beautiful blossoms. St Andrews Reserve also features an eye-catching castle maze playground with two slides, a small climbing wall and cute elements for imaginative play such as a potion making area.
The playground offers swings, one standard and one for small children, an in-ground trampoline, a small roundabout and a decent sized track for cycling to the side of the playground. There are two small areas with shade, tables and chairs, water fountains, ample parking and a BBQ under one of the undercover spaces.
Visiting with a five and eight-year-old they liked that there were elements to climb on and they loved the big winding slide. As St Andrews Reserve is such a new attraction, the space was understandably busy with local families. People were enjoying BBQ lunch, kids were riding around on scooters, kicking soccer balls and the cycling track had a few remote-control cars zooming around the track.
As much as we liked visiting the recently opened playground, we had to cut our visit short because the reserve doesn’t have toilets! This makes visiting the playground for extended periods of time a little challenging, especially with small children. As the surrounding area looks like it is still in development, we hope that this crucial feature will be included at a later date. Either way if you find yourself in the north of Adelaide or a local to Andrews Farm, definitely check it out and experience the playground for yourself.
