Nestled beneath the gum trees of Civic Park, A Day in the Gully is an exciting new festival that brings together national headliners, emerging artists, and incredible live acts for a full day of dancing, good times and unforgettable energy.

Whether you’re front and centre at the stage or chilling with mates under the trees, every moment is about letting go, moving to the beat, and making memories. A Day in the Gully is about good vibes, great company, and celebrating the simple joy of being part of this community, this is South Australia.

A Day in the Gully 2027 features a huge line-up of Australian music acts including The Veronicas, Peking Duk, Xavier Rudd, Ruel and Thirsty Merc. Presented by SRO Events, this all-ages Adelaide music festival brings together some of Australia’s biggest names alongside emerging local talent, with plenty of space to relax, dance and enjoy the atmosphere.

💚 First Look at the NEW Kensington Wama / Kensington Gardens Reserve Adventure Playground 💚

It’s now open, and we think you’re going to love it! Here’s our first quick look.

Inspired by local birdlife, the new playspace (formerly the Burnside Adventure Playground) features a custom bird-hide play structure, bird information panels and a great range of play equipment for all ages.

A major drawcard is the Cliff Rider (pole vault type of equipment) which older kids who like a challenge and risk taking will thrive on. The only other playground in Adelaide to have this is The Entrance, Angle Vale.

We love that the council have not played it too safe. There’s climbing structures, good old monkey bars, the double flying fox is back, swings and a hamster wheel. Additional seating and non-verbal communication signage helps create a more inclusive play experience, while hidden artworks throughout the playground will give children fun little discoveries along the way.

The beautiful sculptures were designed by artist Allan Sumner in collaboration with ACA Studios. The artworks are to encourage children and families to connect with local wildlife, Kaurna language and the stories of the natural environment.

It looks fantastic - well done to @cityofburnside and all involved.

Just a note: the driveway to the back car park is still closed - parking is along West Terrace.
