Peter Combe and the ASO: Mr Clicketty Cane and Other Tall Tales | 20 Aug 2016

ASO_Web28

One of Australia’s best known and most loved children’s songwriters, Peter Combe joins the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to play some of his best known songs … and some newer ones as well.

Hear the tale of Mr Clicketty Cane who plays his silly game and asks everyone to wash their face in orange juice; Jack and the famous story of him disobeying his mother and climbing the beanstalk; the song about Tom who plays the trumpet, Ben the French Horn, Kate the tuba, and Clare the trombone. The musical tale of a confused tadpole, a song about learning to play chopsticks on the violin, piano and flute including a short cameo by a Pavarotti impersonator (!) and… a song about stopping, getting ready and going! All performed in Peter’s inimitable, interactive, style.
