Guide Dogs SA Journey of Discovery
Head to the Guide Dogs SA Discovery Centre and embark on a journey of discovery about sight and hearing through nine “hands-on” interactive exhibits. Usually only open for bookings by schools, corporate and community groups, the Guide Dogs SA Discovery Centre is opening to the general public these school holidays. Guide Dogs SA’s Discovery Centre teaches empathy and how to be inclusive of people with hearing or vision impairment. It also promotes the prevention of vision and hearing loss through the nine interactive exhibits:
- Play basketball with glasses simulating a vision loss
- Learn Braille and crack a code
- Walk with a white cane
- Test sounds and develop an understanding of safe listening levels
- Plus meet one of our gorgeous dogs!
