Where is the Green Sheep review

Where is the Green Sheep? Mem Fox and Judy Horacek

Mem Fox has written many well-loved children’s books including my personal favourite Where Is The Green Sheep?

Where is the Green Sheep? has wonderful bright illustrations of happy sheep doing all sorts of interesting things like playing on seesaws, flying kites and riding on a train. Who knew sheep got up to so much fun, or came in so many bright colours.

“There are red sheep and blue sheep, wind sheep and wave sheep, scared sheep and brave sheep, but where is the green sheep?”

Who will enjoy Where is the Green Sheep?

Younger children will love being read Where is the Green Sheep? and if you have a child who’s learning to read they will probably find this a good one to start off on. My five year old loved to read this aloud and enjoyed the rhythm and repetition of the story.

Where is the Green Sheep? is one of those children’s books that I enjoy reading over and over again. It doesn’t have an overly complex plot or character development but it’s a fun book to read with your children.

What age group is Where is the Green Sheep? best for?

We’d recommend Where is the Green Sheep? for babies and toddlers (in board book format) and preschoolers.
