Port Adelaide will warm up winter this year, hosting its first winter festival, with ice skating fun, celebrating creativity and community in the cooler months.
Prepare for a week of winter warming wonder. The Our Port Winterfest are inviting us to pull out our woollies and prepare for a week of winter warming wonder.
This new winter festival will open from Friday 14 July 2017 at 10am and runs daily until Sunday 23 July 2017.
Snowballing into historic Hart’s Mill you’ll find an ice-skating rink, winter markets, live music, kid’s activities, shows, workshops and more delicious winter food and drink than you can poke a stick at! So pop on some skates and go for a whirl around Port’s waterfront ice rink. You can snuggle up by the fires, sip on mulled wine and listen to jazz and blues tunes while the kids are entertained by one of the many shows or activity sessions.
Winterfest will be presented by Renewal SA in partnership with local Port Adelaide traders. The event will build on the success of the Wonderwalls festival at the Port in April, which attracted 15,000 people over two days to view huge original artworks painted on buildings, which you can still go and see. The striking artwork is continuing to attract visitors and the benefits are flowing onto the local economy.
Winterfest will have a family focus and will run from 14 to 23 July 2017, aligning with the school holidays.
The festival will encourage people to visit Port Adelaide at a quieter time of year. It will centre on the Hart’s Mill Precinct and Flour Shed on Mundy Street and involve local traders. Families will be able to play at the wonderful Hart’s Mill playground when visiting.
The ice skating rink will be open Sunday to Wednesday 10am to 8pm | Thursday to Saturday 10am to 10pm

Adults (16+ yrs) $14 | Child (2-15 yrs) $8.50 | Family (2 adults & 2 children) $35 | Penguin skating aid $5 | Happy Hour prices Sun – Wed 5-8pm
