Bringing Adelaide’s History to Colour | Photography Exhibition
Ever wondered what the City of Adelaide looked like in years gone by? Journey through history with iconic stories of Adelaide’s built heritage brought to life through digitally colourised archival photographs.
2018 marks 30 successful years of the Heritage Incentives Scheme and the City of Adelaide’s commitment to protect, preserve and promote our built heritage.
Since 1988, City of Adelaide has provided the most substantial local government heritage grant scheme in Australia. Since its inception, the Scheme has provided over $20m in grants to property owners. In celebration of this achievement, the story of Adelaide’s built heritage will be told through a selection of digitally colourised black and white photographs on display in Rundle Mall from Friday 23 March – Sunday 8 April 2018.
Capturing moments in Adelaide’s history over the last two centuries, the photographs have been reimagined in vibrant colour, offering a new and exciting way to view our past.
This exhibition is free and open to all.
