Monster Jam | Adelaide Oval | 6 Oct 2018

The most intense family motorsports entertainment experience on the planet, Monster Jam, is BACK and this time it’s bigger, better, faster, stronger.

Monster Jam World Finals Champion Tom Meents is set to lead the pack of superstar drivers, bringing fans to the edge of their seats with adrenaline-charged, high-flying, four-wheel excitement that is fun for the entire family. Starring the biggest performers on four wheels, Monster Jam trucks take on a life of their own. In an Adelaide first, Australia’s only Monster Jam truck driver Rhianna Buchanan in crowd-favourite Wonder Woman will also tear up the track.

Unexpected, unscripted and unforgettable, Monster Jam includes various competitions including races through a set course and the thrilling freestyle event, where Monster Jam trucks take a life of their own as they’re pushed to the limit doing backflips, wheelstands and literally flying – covering up to 50m in a single leap (a distance greater than 14 cars side by side) and up to 12m skywards.

All ten custom-designed, supercharged Monster Jam Trucks will battle it out for a range of titles with a jaw-dropping line-up of Monster Jam Truck superstars including fan favourite Grave Digger®, and first-timers to Adelaide MegalodonTM, and Wonder WomanTM driven by the first ever female Australian Monster Jam truck driver, Rhianna Buchanan. 11-time world champion Tom Meents driving the famous Max D®  will attempt a never-before-seen in Australia record breaking 6-truck long jump.

The Australian Monster Jam 2018 tour kicks off in Adelaide at a new family-friendly show time of 5pm.

The famous Party in the Pits® will run from 1pm where fans can get up close with their favourite Monster Jam trucks, before meeting the superstar drivers, taking pictures, getting autographs & more! The show will feature super-charged Monster Jam driver competitions – including Monster Jam Racing and the coveted Freestyle competitions.

Standing nearly four metres tall and four metres wide, Monster Jam trucks are custom-designed machines that weigh around 5,500kgs. Built for short, high powered bursts of speed, the powerful Monster Jam beasts perform breathtaking stunts and can accelerate from 0-100kph in under 3 seconds.

With a Pit Pass, fans have full access to the world-renowned Party in the Pits and can get up close and personal to the Monster Jam trucks and drivers. From taking selfies with the Monster Jam stars, to getting your favourite merchandise signed, it all happens at this exclusive pre-event Party in the Pits. We went to the Pit Party last time and as you can see in our pics below, you really do get to see them up close. This was a really fun part of the day and the drivers are very generous with their time meeting fans here. We totally recommend doing this if you’re going to the show.
