A Christmas Celebration – Tidings of Comfort and Joy!
In this collaboration with the Adelaide Festival Centre, let the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and a line-up of special guests bring you tidings of comfort and joy this festive season.
In this festive program, you’ll hear some of your favourite carols and traditional Christmas songs, sung with sophistication and style by the ARIA-award winning vocal quartet The Idea of North. They will also be joined by Adelaide’s own Green Room Award Winner and Festival Centre Walk of Fame recipient, Johanna Allen, with master of ceremonies Mr. Personality himself, the Artistic Director of State Theatre Company South Australia, Mitchell Butel. There will be plenty of surprises along the way too, including special appearances by the Little Drummer Boy and the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Whether you’re nine or ninety-nine, A Christmas Celebration will bring joy to your world.
There’s nothing more magical than coming together to enjoy beautiful orchestrations, loved carols and the true spirit of Christmas. I am delighted to be in my hometown sharing this experience with you. Come join us – let’s celebrate love, peace, goodwill and community. We need it now more than ever. Bring your family – I’ll be bringing mine! And let’s enjoy the talents of our magnificent ASO, and the joy of music together – Johanna Allen
