The search for the next iconic Adelaide Fringe poster is on! Whether you’re a professional artist, emerging creative, student or hobbyist, your encouraged to submit your design and let your creativity shine.
The Adelaide Fringe Poster Competition is a distinguished tradition that has, since 1974, launched emerging talent and celebrated bold artistic expression.
The theme for 2027 is: Fringe for everyBODY
Fringe is a festival without barriers, where everyone can participate, create, connect and belong.
This year they’re inviting artists to celebrate the people who make Fringe what it is.
Artists stepping onto the stage.
The people, families and friends, sharing a laugh or discovering their new favourite show.
The venues, producers, helping artists bring shows to life.
The communities that support and shape Fringe.
And everyBODY who comes together to create the unique magic of Fringe.
Ideas and inspiration:
- The simple, serendipitous, sometimes sparkly pleasures that swirl together to create something bigger than a festival.
- A ticket to something you’ve never heard of before.
- A late-night show discovered by accident.
- A laugh that takes over your whole body.
- A tear in the dark, and no need to explain it.
- A warm evening shared with friends under festival lights.
- A moment of “that could be me”.
- A venue with no roof, two floodlights, and the best theatre of your life.
The winning artist receives:
- $10,000 prize money, thanks to Adelaide University
- Free rego to exhibit at Adelaide Fringe 2027
- Your artwork featured as part of the Adelaide Fringe 2027 season
- Bragging rights to be part of the Fringe Poster alumni
Submissions for the competition close at 11:59pm ACST on Sunday 30 August 2026.
The Adelaide Fringe 2027 season will take place from Friday 19 February to Sunday 21 March 2027.
