Adelaide Hills Reverse Advent Calendar
Unlike a regular Advent Calendar, where the focus is on receiving a treat every day, the Reverse Advent Calendar takes the focus off receiving and places the focus on giving.
A Reverse Advent Calendar begins as an empty box. For 20 days during November and December, you place one item into the box (non-perishable food, toiletries, Christmas treat). The Adelaide Hills Reverse Advent Calendar are partnering with The Salvation Army Adelaide Hills, and your filled Reverse Advent Calendar is dropped off to be distributed to families ready for Christmas.
Including the kids in creating your Reverse Advent Calendar is a wonderful and tangible way to teach about generosity and equity, along with the importance of caring for each other.
Collect A Box:
It’s not too late to receive your box. Register for a box to be delivered or go to the Mount Barker Community Centre to collect it.
