Southern Adelaide’s newest skate park is now open in Aldinga.
Aldinga’s skate, scoot, and ride enthusiasts have a brand-new reason to celebrate with the new and highly anticipated Aldinga Skate Park – a key part of the long-term vision to redevelop Aldinga Sports Park.
The skate park was created in consultation with the local community and includes:
- large skate bowl and street skating areas that are capable of hosting events and competitions
- lighting
- irrigated turf for seating and viewing
- a shelter with benches
- footpaths and car park
- access to power
- drinking fountain and bike racks
- a pedestrian path to football oval and existing public toilets.
The park was designed and constructed by world-leading experts in skate and youth space design, CONVIC and is suitable for all ages and varying skill levels. The skate park is designed to serve as a community hub for young people and to host events and competitions and is the latest instalment in thee $8.65 million Aldinga Sports Park transformation.
