Celebrating NAIDOC in the City
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Celebrating NAIDOC in the City is a free community event hosted by the City of Adelaide to celebrate the launch of Naidoc Week South Australia ‘Our Languages Matter’.
Be delighted and enriched with entertainment that’s jam packed with culture. The day will feature live performances, weaving workshops, delicious food and guest appearances from local AFL/SANFL identities.
Martin Haese – Lord Mayor of Adelaide and the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation, the Honourable Kyam Maher MLC will be officially unveiling Aboriginal flag banners and footpath signage in celebrating Aboriginal cultures and promoting awareness.
