Circolombia ‘Aceleré’ | Adelaide Fringe | 14 Feb – 15 Mar 2020

Circolombia ‘Aceleré’

In their brand-new show Aceleré, Circolombia mixes breathtaking circus prowess with authenticity, power and charisma; smashing all preconceptions of circus with a high-risk, adrenalin-fuelled production bursting with Latin fire, urban flavour and heart-stopping energy

Delivered with the rawness and attitude of South American street life, Acéléré turns the spotlight on 14 incredible supercharged youthful Colombian performers and their endless feats of strength, balance, tumbling and insane pinpoint accuracy.

Every gutsy and improbable stunt is staged in the same breath as Circolombia’s trademark circus-concert soundscape, a vibrant mixtape of Latin hip-hop, cumbia and drum ‘n bass, complete with raps from the fierce female ringmaster performed live and in the spirit of an infectious dance party.

London based Circolombia is the world’s first professional circus school for disadvantaged youth, producing high energy modern circus shows with a distinctive Latin feel. Founded in January 2006 from the distinct need for professional insertion for graduates from Circo Para Todos in Colombia.
