Lumary City-Bay Fun Run | Adelaide to Glenelg

Lumary City-Bay Fun Run 2021 CANCELLED

An iconic event in South Australia, each year thousands of participants run, walk, dance or wheelchair their way to the Bay.

UPDATE 7 OCTOBER 2021:

City-Bay management regrets to inform their thousands of supporters and participants that the Lumary City-Bay Fun Run will not proceed this year.  Despite exhaustive efforts by City-Bay management, the SA Health Covid Management Committee this morning denied the application for the event to proceed. The full statement can be found on their website.

At each fun run there are always the serious athletes, but overwhelmingly the majority of people are there for the fun. There will be people dressed up supporting charities or advertising local groups and businesses. As you proceed down the course you soak up the roadside entertainment and the encouragement of fellow participants or by-standers.

It has been noted in recent months more people have been focusing on their health and have commenced running to keep fit and mentally healthy. Every new runner or walker will be welcome to the event this year and they know that runners new and old will have fun.

Event Races:

  • Half Marathon
  • 12k Run/Walk
  • 6k Run/Walk
  • 3k Run/Walk

Entry Fees:

Fees start at $25 for 17 years & under / $35 for adults. Different fees apply to each distance so register early as late registration prices apply.

The 2021 race day event and training workshops will take place with COVID-safe precautions.  Training workshops for 2021 are listed here.

This year’s City-Bay Fun Run is part of the Athletics Australia Australian Road Running Championships.
