Become a City Corn Crop Farmer!

Children are invited to be the farmers – planting and harvesting the crop, getting hands-on in the garden and discovering the joy of growing fresh, healthy food.

The 2014 City Crop is an heirloom True Gold sweet corn!

During the day children will come along to a one hour session where they will plant a True Gold heirloom corn seed in the City Crop.  Seeds are provided on the day.  When they have finished planting their seed, the children can help The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide to create the scarecrows who will be watching over the crop.

Bookings close Thursday 23 October 2014 – click here to book.

If you haven’t already, sign up to the City Crop e-Newsletter and visit the City Crop blog where you will find all the corn information, facts, tricks and techniques required to become a City Corn Crop farmer in the Adelaide Botanic Garden or at home. Click here for details.
