Its Adelaide Fringe time again and the City of PAE is supporting creative and talented artists in 68 festival events in over 30 venues across the Council area, featuring an outstanding range of art in all its forms.
With their culturally rich and diverse community, the City of PAE has become an important and vibrant arts hub and home to a significant number of artists, galleries, studios, museums, cultural organisations and events. The Adelaide Fringe is just the ticket to enjoy some unique and new experiences in the City of PAE.

‘Dancing in the Street’ Street Party:
Saturday 2 March 2019 at 5pm | Commercial Road North & adjacent laneways, Port Adelaide
Port Adelaide throws an awesome street party and Port Fringe 2019 will be no exception. The City of PAE presents the Adelaide Fringe on Tour Caravan, main stage, workshops, pop-up spaces, performances, fab food, live music, markets and your chance to trip the light fantastic.
Performances:
African Soul
Ghanaian born Bortier Okoe is a multi-skilled performer and teacher. He is a musician, master drummer, dancer, singer, song-writer & choreographer. African Soul’s traditional performance group, Telema Bii will bring an explosive and vibrant drumming and dance show to Port Adelaide. The show will be followed by a short dance workshop led by Telema Bii.
The Long Pigs
The Long Pigs are a trio from the cream of Australian clowning and this time they have opened the box of clowning from the wrong end… Strange, engrossing, outrageous and terrific are some of the words to describe them. Catch the gang at Port Fringe as they roam the streets looking for something nice to eat…
The Satellites
THE SATELLITES are undoubtedly one of Australia’s finest rockabilly and roots acts around. belt out the coolest of rhythms a wild 50’s flavoured rockabilly tune gravely vocal tones unbelievable cool
Elephant in The Room Productions
Elephant in the Room’s ensemble does a deep dive into British culture from Queen and Jethro Tull all the way back to the classic greats like William Byrd and John Farmer.
The Black Moth
Dancer Wendy Dys performs a flamenco inspired interpretation of the life cycle of the rare black moth. Accompanied by drummer Danial Harvey and featuring a backdrop painted by artist Martin Strauss.
Workshops:
Celebration Installation
Join local Artist Sarah-Jane Cook to create an Indian inspired outdoor floor installation celebrating the Port Fringe. Use recycled materials to create this colourful, patterned temporary artwork. No experience is required. “Annie’s Lane” (shaded laneway east of Civic Centre), Port Adelaide from 5-8pm
Art Workshop ‘Tap into Your Inner Dolphin’
Support the local Port River Dolphins through this fun hands-on workshop that’s suitable for all ages. Use recycled materials to create a wearable dolphin fin based on the actual shape of the celebrity dolphins. Wear your fin in a walk-around parade at 8pm. Visitor Information Centre courtyard, rear of 66 Commercial Rd, Port Adelaide from 5-8pm

- The Summer Painting Show – Presented by Fontanelle Gallery & Studios | Fontanelle Gallery & Studios from 5pm
- Indigo Dreams – Presented by City of Port Adelaide Enfield’s Fontanelle Studio Residency Artist Suzanne Wiese aka Sooz | Foyer Gallery from 5pm
- ELEMENTS – Presented by Port Community Arts Centre Inc | Black Diamond Gallery until 8pm
