Clare Valley Half Marathon 2 April 2017
There’s something for everyone at the Clare Valley Half Marathon.
As well as the Clare Valley half marathon, there’s a 10km and a 5km race. And for the smaller kids, there is a free 1km kids’ run (enter on the day). All runs excluding the kids’ run travel along the beautiful Riesling Trail and finish on the football oval just off Main North Road.
It’s expected 2,000 people will converge onto Clare for the event including participants, spectators and volunteers to create an exhilarating experience for everyone attending.
About the Clare Valley
The Clare Valley is one of South Australia’s oldest wine regions and is world renowned for producing elegant rieslings.
The Clare Valley is just two hours North of Adelaide, so you can drive up in the morning. But if you would like to make a weekend of it, the area provides a wide variety of accommodation. Book early though as it does get busy.
Start times for the Clare Valley Half Marathon
1km (kids run) – 10am (free event – enter at the Race Village on the day)
5km – 8.45am
10km – 8.30am
21.1km – 8am

The Northern Argus Clare Valley Half Marathon is the first half marathon of the SARRC “Triple Crown Series” which includes the Clare event, The Athlete’s Foot Greenbelt Half Marathon and the Hardy’s McLaren Vale Half Marathon.
