Conquer the Summit is a community running event held in March every year in the beautiful Adelaide Hills at Mt Barker.
Conquer The Summit 2024 will be held on Sunday 24 March 2024. Distance options include 5, 10 and 20 kilometres so there is something for all ages and fitness levels. First held in 2012, the main purpose of this iconic event is to raise funds for Operation Flinders and other charities that support local youth.
The event is a major fundraiser of Mt Barker Lions and Rotary Clubs.
The Course:
The event begins at the Mt Barker Homemaker Centre with the initial stage through the Laratinga Wetlands.
After leaving the wetlands, competitors run through the surrounding rural area, following a combination of roadside, fire track, vineyard and trail all the way to the top of Mt Barker Summit.
Registration:
Registration starts at $5 for junior (ages 5 – 16) 5k runners/walkers. Under 5s are FREE for the 10km or 5km.
