Deadly 60 Live | Pole to Pole with Steve Backshall | Review

630x200

Deadly 60 fans flocked to Her Majesty’s Theatre to see Steve Backshall regale audiences with an intimate insight into the filming of his hit TV show Deadly 60 Pole to Pole.

Every so often a TV show comes around that the whole family *love* to sit down and watch together. In our house there’s never any arguing over the remote when Deadly 60 is on. Trekking across the globe to observe and interact with wildlife in some of the world’s most remote locations Steve Backshall has become a superstar amongst families everywhere.

Deadly 60 Live, is an audience with Steve Backshall, don’t expect to come face to face with any animals or to see any grand dramatisations. If you, and your kids, love the show then it’s a opportunity to see Steve *in person* and listen to him talk about what it’s like to film Deadly 60. He shows unseen footage from episodes in the Pole to Pole series and tells plenty of fascinating and hilarious stories.

He is as engaging and enthusiastic on stage as he is on telly and I can honestly say that Deadly 60 Live is as enjoyable for adults as it is for kids without the need to layer the humour.

After the show Steve Backshall held a meet-and-greet in front of the theatre and stayed until every last one of the 1,000+ strong audience members had the chance for a photo, autograph and handshake (we took the kids for a drink and snack across the road and re-joined the end of the line to avoid waiting too long!). It’s this respect for fans that has placed Backshall on a pedestal in many homes.
