Dożynki Polish Harvest Festival
The Dożynki Committee cordially invite everyone to their Polish Harvest Festival.
This year they are again joined by Sammy & Bella, winners of My Kitchen Rules, showcasing the best of Polish Cuisine in the food tent. They’ll have plenty of children’s activities including an animal farm, police cars, carnival amusements, circus elements workshops, a puppet show and puppet making classes.
The local Polish Folk Dance Group ‘Tatry’ will be performing and will be joined by Ukrainian Cossack dancers. The main stage will be graced with the sounds of special guest from Poland, Jan Wojdak, from the famed ‘Wawele’ and the South Australian Police Band ‘Off The Cuff’.
As is a yearly tradition, they will also have wheat ‘snopek’ tossing and pierogi eating competitions. Enjoy a Polish beer and the smooth sounds of Nova in the Beer Tent. The Arts Tent also includes a wide variety of art on display for sale with live demonstrations of silk painting, violin making and decoupage.
For those with fur babies, join Advance Behavioural Training for performances and a stall to buy treats for your dogs.
