Dunbar Tce Kindergarten is having a BIG Birthday! It has been supporting many local families for 60 years, providing a positive learning environment for children and families in the local area.
Now they are asking the local community to come and celebrate and support them with their 60th Birthday.
What is rounding up to be a fantastic family fun filled day includes free entertainment such as a jumping castle, live local music, face painting, a special ‘Fairies are Saving the Planet’ theatre show by On the Fly, silent auction, lucky dip, prizes, food and drinks and so much more!
Proudly sponsored by SA Water, the kindy is incorporating educating the children in water conservation, recycling and looking after our planet.
Local celebrated artist, Claire Foord, who has nephews currently attending the kindergarten, has recently returned from her exciting European exhibition. She will be working with the children to create a gorgeous mural inspired by indigenous art with shapes representing water holes, water ways and the sun especially for the 60th birthday celebrations.
“We will be raising a time capsule from 2003 and reflecting on the centre’s contribution to the Glenelg community”, says kindergarten Director Alexandra Scott, “We will also be burying a new time capsule with each child contributing a drawing.”
To commemorate this very distinctive occasion 60 monarch butterflies will be released for each year that the kindergarten has been in operation.
Dunbar Terrace Kindergarten welcomes present and past parents, grandparents, family and friends to share 60 years of the Kindergarten with the children and their teachers.
A special and entertaining day not to be missed!
