Dymocks Adelaide is unveiling its brand new store in the iconic Regent Theatre located in Rundle Mall. Review of the brand new Dymocks Adelaide book store

The iconic Regent Theatre is a stunning building and was once one of the most spectacular theatres in Australia when it opened in 1928. If youโ€™re old enough you might remember going to see a movie here when it was a Hoyts cinema, sadly closing in 2004.

The old theatre is a wonderful setting for the new Dymocks bookstore. You can see the spectacular original sky-high ceilings and intricate details on the walls and there are nods to the past with a few of the original chairs from the theatre placed around the bookstore.

They have the biggest range of kidsโ€™ books – from the sweet little ones you can read to your baby, right through to young adults, no matter whether your kids like adventure, sci-fi, classics, graphic novels – and if they donโ€™t have something in stock they can order it in for you. There is nothing like the feel and smell of a new book, and turning real paper pages, right?

Of course thereโ€™s every topic you can imagine in books for Adults too. Youโ€™ll also find games, puzzles, toys, birthday cards and gift wrap.

To get to the store there are escalators from Rundle Mall (just near the Mallโ€™s Balls) between menโ€™s clothing store Connor and private health insurer Bupa as well as a lift just inside Regent Arcade (right next to Shiels). The school holidays are a great time to check it out.
