Sunday 3 September 2017 is Father’s Day! If you are looking for something a bit different to celebrate, the Museum has a special offer for dads and carers – FREE entry all day!
Located in the historic Port Adelaide precinct, the South Australian Maritime Museum preserves, explores and celebrates the human history of our oceans and rivers.
Be sure to visit the stunning exhibition of historic photographic works by Harold Cazneaux. Scramble over a life sized ketch and imagine the days of sail. Marvel at sailors’ souvenirs and maritime crafts from Australia’s oldest nautical collection started at the Port in 1872.
Take a stroll around the streets of Port Adelaide and imagine a nineteenth-century port with its grand customs house, telegraph office, shipping offices, chandlery and the Maritime Museum’s bondstores, lighthouse and steam tug Yelta.
*Dads and carers are free when accompanied by a paying visitor.
