The Festival of Vintage
Set aside October 15-16 to visit Port Adelaide and step-back-in-time at The Festival of Vintage: Boats, Planes and Trains
With the world’s largest operative wooden Tall-Ship, Tenacious, docked at the Wharf, The Festival of Vintage will see the Lipson Street precinct, the three museums and Hart’s Mill come alive.
The bustle of the vintage markets will take you through the eras and satisfy all of your nostalgic desires. Discover the vintage cafés and bars to delight your senses and remind you of times past.
Free entry to the Railway Museum and Aviation Museum
Both the Railway and the Aviation Museums have free entry for the weekend and the Maritime Museum will have discounted $5 admission.
Special programs will include everything from a tiger moth flyover, classic vehicles and military displays, through to traditional building demonstrations such as wood turning, and boat building. The Classic Owners Motorcycle Club Inc SA will take over Harts Mill with their “Classics at Hart” vintage motorcycle display.
Double decker buses and a full sized 1919 steam train will transport you around the event. Or maybe you want to spoil yourself and experience the Port from above on a helicopter tour that leaves from the Aviation Museum?
Free parking is available with free bus transfers to and from museums and classic displays.
