Firstival Returns to South Australia’s Public Libraries This July

Firstival is back this winter with over 350 events across South Australia’s public libraries, inviting people of all ages to try something new throughout July.

Now in its third year, Firstival continues to make a strong community impact, attracting more than 42,000 attendees in 2024 and welcoming nearly 7,000 new members to the Libraries SA OneCard network.

This year’s diverse program includes free and low cost events for everyone—from science workshops and ukulele lessons for kids, to Etsy selling tips and politics-themed pizza nights for teens. Adults can enjoy pasta-making, K-pop dance, paint and sip sessions, and even a unique Bricks and Brews Lego-and-beer night at Noarlunga Library.
