Celebrate NAIDOC Week 2026 with a fun-filled day of free activities for the whole family at the Gawler NAIDOC Family Fun Day.
Held at the Gawler Sport and Community Centre on Friday 17 July 2026, this free community event is a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and enjoy a fantastic lineup of family-friendly activities.
The day begins with a Welcome to Country and celebrates culture, connection and community through live entertainment, performances and a vibrant collection of stalls along the Nunga Brick Road. Families can also enjoy a free BBQ, homemade soups, giveaways and plenty of opportunities to connect with local community organisations.
There’ll be lots to keep the kids entertained too, including a farm barn, Animals Anonymous featuring native Australian animals, face painting, henna and a variety of fun activities throughout the day.
The Gawler NAIDOC Family Fun Day is proudly co-hosted by the Gawler Aboriginal Health Team and the Town of Gawler, with everyone welcome to join in the celebrations.
