With the Fringe currently in town there’s even more reason to venture into the city on the weekends. One of my family’s favourite, well, probably THE favourite place for a treat is Gelatissimo on Rundle Street in the East End.
Just walking up to the counter will make your eyes pop as the way they display their gelato selection is something else! It is nearly impossible to choose a flavour with so many varieties on offer. The premium dairy and sorbet flavours are made fresh daily using natural ingredients and are a low-fat, creamy alternative to traditional ice cream. Fortunately a taste test is encouraged, but after 8 or 9 spoons you really will need to make a decision…
My personal favourite (this month) is a tie between Italian coffee and the traditional Italian Biscotti. Yum! My kids love trying new flavours, but peach, strawberry and chocolate are always popular.
