Review by Carla Caruso
Enjoy mini golf as a family activity but want to step it up a notch?
Introducing Golf Park Adelaide – the largest indoor golf facility in Australia, which has conveniently landed in the Adelaide Airport precinct (next to AFL Max).
You don’t have to be a golf pro to have a tee-tastic time here, although serious golfers are welcome as well.
Golf Park already has two outdoor venues in Tasmania and Victoria, but this is its first indoor concept. Perfect for kids aged 5+ and suited for beginners through to young golfers, it’s also a great option for older kids, with parents able to join in too.

Everything you need is supplied – just wear comfy clothes (closed-toe shoes are recommended). Food and drinks are also available to purchase on-site.
I headed to the spacious venue on opening weekend with my twelve-year-old twin sons and husband.
There are four distinct areas – the Garmin driving range for avid golfers (with precision tracking for focused practice); the family and entertainment bays for kids and groups; the Foresight simulators; and the PuttView putting green, a world-class interactive putting experience.

We loved hanging out in a family/entertainment bay, where you can play games like the Minecraft-style Box Crush, watching a screen as you send the ball flying.

We also spent plenty of time in a more intimate golf simulator bay, which features virtual courses and fairground-style games, including balloon popping, ten-pin bowling and even splattering paint onto a virtual canvas.

Food-wise, we tucked into burgers, a hot dog, chips and a toastie.

The time flew. It was hard to get our kids to hand back their clubs at the end.
As one of my twins said:
“I liked all the technology and there was a lot of choice. The games were really fun, and it’d be a good place to play with friends.”
Even if you don’t know a putter from a driver, you’ll have a ball here – of the golf variety!
