Kids Spooky Treat Decorating

Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween workshop at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market.  Between 10am – 11am kids will be guided through decorating their own spooky-themed treat — whether it’s a cupcake or a cookie, it’s sure to be delicious and fun.  This activity is FREE for kids (donations welcome). A limited number of gluten-free treats will also be available. No bookings are required, but spots are limited, so arrive early to join the fun.  Market Pavilion (Eastern end).  Adult supervision required.

Trick or Treat Market Trail

This hugely popular activity runs from 8.30am–11.30am only, so arrive early! Kids collect a trail bag from the Market Info Stand with 10 tokens to redeem at selected stalls. Along the way they’ll find Halloween signs with secret symbols — jot them down and go in the draw to win a Family Hamper, packed with market goodies. The prize is drawn at 12 noon.

Extra Spooky Fun

Face Painting: No costume? No problem! A talented face painter will be at the market (small fee applys) to transform kids into cats, ghouls, or glittery pumpkins.

Wilbur’s Wildlife Creepy Crawlies: From 9.30am–11.30am under the verandah, kids can meet slimy snails, scaly lizards, and even creepy crawlies up close — a free, hands-on wildlife experience.

This Halloween tradition is one of the market’s most popular days, with families dressing up, stallholders joining the fun, and plenty of live music to keep the spooky spirit alive.
