The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is South Australia’s largest farmers’ market and a much-loved Sunday tradition for families. Held indoors and outdoors at the Adelaide Showground in Wayville, just minutes from the CBD, the market brings together more than 100 South Australian farmers and producers each week. Shop direct from the people who grow it, rear it, catch it, bake it and make it right here in SA.
From fresh seasonal produce and pastured meats to artisan bread, sweet treats and ready-to-eat breakfast options, it’s an easy, relaxed way to spend a Sunday morning.
You’ll find Jamface, founded by MasterChef favourite Poh Ling Yeow, trading indoors most Sundays, offering her much-loved sweets and baked treats that families line up for each week.
Family Friendly Sundays
The market is pram friendly, welcoming and full of atmosphere – there’s always more happening than just the weekly shop.
Throughout the year you’ll find:

Celebrating 20 Years in 2026
In 2026, the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market celebrates 20 years of feeding the community. Since opening in 2006 with 71 stallholders, the market has grown into a cornerstone of South Australia’s local food culture, supporting more than 130 producers annually and welcoming over 4,000 visitors most Sundays.
The official 20th Birthday celebration will be held on Sunday 4 October 2026, with special festivities planned for families and the wider community.
Market Membership
Market Membership offers 10 percent off purchases across the market, plus access to exclusive giveaways, seasonal promotions and partner offers. Visitors from interstate or overseas can also enjoy a ‘Member for a Day’ option. Membership supports the market’s not for profit model and helps ensure South Australian farmers have a direct pathway to community.
Market on the Move
At select times during the year, including during the Royal Adelaide Show and other major events at the Adelaide Showground, the market may temporarily relocate within the Showground precinct. When this occurs, stallholder attendance and entry points can vary. Jamface and other indoor traders may not attend outdoor-only pop-up markets. We recommend checking the website each week for updated market locations, entry information and a full list of who will be trading.
Getting There
Car parking is available via the Rose Terrace entrance on Sundays at special market rates.*
- Under 30 minutes: Free
- Under 2 hours: $6.50
- All day: $15
Or make a day of it and travel sustainably. Train, tram and bus services all pass the Adelaide Showground, and there are bike racks onsite for those who cycle in.
Once you arrive, grab a large jute market bag or insulated chill bag from the Information Stand to carry your weekly shop. You can even purchase a market cart to make loading up easy.
