Review by Jo Parkinson

Situated on Old Coach Road in Aldinga, Here’s to Strength is a Community Wellness Hub founded by CEO Elise Riannen. Winning Best Health and Wellness Company 2023 in Australia, Here’s to Strength has a strong focus on positive wellbeing, and this facility is so much more than just a café.

  • an outdoor area with animal therapy ducks and bunnies, as well as lots of play space for babies and children

Café

Here’s to Strength Cafe’s calm energy makes it the perfect spot for tired and busy parents, those needing a pick-me-up, or friends meeting up for a coffee or lunch date. Appealing outdoor seating areas located at the front, side and back of the building make each spot feel private, or there is a light and airy indoor area if the weather isn’t great.

Menu Options (as at October 2024)

The food offered here is nutritious, organic, and comforting. Not only does it taste good but will leave you feeling good too! Perfect for light lunches and snacks, there is a choice of sweet and savoury from the display cabinet, or more options on the menu. With wholesome food on offer such as toasties, granola, keto bowls and vegan stacks, the only hard part is deciding what to order! There are some great GF and vegan choices as well, so everyone is catered for.

During our visit we enjoyed the most delicious kimchi and sweet potato fritter and can’t wait to go back and have another! We also couldn’t resist some of the treats from the display cabinet too, so we had to try the Lemon Cake (GF/V) and our kids enjoyed the Biscoff cupcake, mini choc cupcake and Happiness in a Rainbow cupcake.

There is a great selection of hot and cold drinks as well, including kombucha, superfood juices and smoothies and protein and milkshakes.

As part of the positive, wellbeing spirit of Here’s to Strength, there is a ‘Pay it Forward’ board near the register, where customers who can’t afford to dine out can take a pre-purchased receipt to redeem at the counter. We love this act of community kindness!

Outdoor Play Area

Our favourite part of the café is the outdoor area. Set up in a backyard style fashion, this relaxing and inviting area gives the feeling of being at home.

There are blankets and toys available for use, a netball ring, cubby house, swing, and the best part… the Quack Shack and Bunny Burrows! This idea of animal therapy will bring a smile to everyone’s face – who doesn’t love cute little bunnies and ducks?!

It was refreshing to be able to sit back and relax, while the kids could play in a safe place and keep themselves busy for a while. We also loved the idea of books and board games to use as well.

Retail Store

From plants to candles, clothing to jewelry and everything in between, there are so many gorgeous, locally made items to browse and purchase. Whether it be a gift for someone else or a treat for yourself, there is a huge range of carefully chosen products that have a sense of quality and care about them that will make anyone feel uplifted.

Here’s to Strength is an inspiring, motivational place that is serving the community well and we encourage everyone to pay a visit and enjoy everything they have on offer.
