Heritage on Sunday – Family Friendly Events at the Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum.
Managed and maintained by theTea Tree Gully Branch of the National Trust of South Australia, the Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum holds family friendly public openings on the third Sunday of the month.
The Highercombe Hotel, a prominent landmark in the historic township of Tea Tree Gully, was opened in 1854. The building has served as a hotel, a community meeting room, a post office, a school room, and residence for postal officers, teachers and a private family. Now the centrepiece of a museum known previously as the Old Highercombe Hotel Museum, in 2015 the name was changed to Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum.

There will be intricate and eye-catching dioramas to scale on display – visitors will be amazed by their precise detail and have an opportunity to chat to the crafts people who enjoy making and exhibiting their small obsessions. Children will be fascinated with this ‘tiny’ exhibition on for one day only.

Special school holiday event, including week-days.
- Thursday/Friday/Saturday | 10am – 2pm ($3 per person)
- Heritage on Sunday | 11am to 4pm (adults $5, concession $4, children under 16 free)
As with each regular Sunday open day, explore rooms in the building, four display pavilions, blacksmith, police cell, laundry and the charming garden.
Sausage Sizzle, Devonshire Tea and coffee will be available and the gift shop is stocked with unique craft.
