HMD Fuse | Safe Smartphone for Kids

HMD Fuse is a smartphone that puts the online safety of your child first.

Everything on a HMD Fuse phone is blocked until enabled — not the other way around.  From day one, HMD Fuse has no socials and no access to an app store. But this is no dumbphone. This is the first brick for building a safer path for your child’s online journey. With location tracking and a contact whitelist, you, the guardian, can set geographical safe zones and limit calls and texts to approved contacts only. When it’s time to grant them access to apps, you can do so trusting that HarmBlock AI is always on, preventing nudity from being shown, shot, and stored on the phone.

Phone features:

  • Stops nudity from being shown, shot, and stored
  • Add and remove apps when kids are ready
  • Peace of mind with location and communication safety features
  • Includes a Casual Outfit and a Flashy Outfit for lighting selfies and photos

Contact whitelisting

Contact whitelisting means kids can only have phone calls and SMS chats with pre-approved phone numbers. If unknown individuals try to call or text them, they simply won’t get through.

Location Tracking

Guardians can designate up to 10 safe zones — like home and school — and get immediate notifications when your child enters or leaves those zones. Track their live location and view 3 days of location history to see where they’ve been.

Privacy

The HarmBlock+ service features a completely pre-trained, self-contained AI protection against nude imagery called HarmBlock. It doesn’t collect user data. It doesn’t share user data. It doesn’t ingest user data. HarmBlock AI does what it’s supposed to do, locally on the device: it stops naked images and videos being shown on the screen or captured by the camera.

And because privacy is a crucial piece of the bigger online safety picture, HarmBlock AI does not collect or transmit user content like photos, videos, or browsing content for analysis.

Parents & Guardians

Once you have an HMD Fuse for your child, get started with the HarmBlock+ app for guardians, available for Android and iOS devices. With their how-to videos and support FAQs, you can start managing your child’s HMD Fuse.

HMD Fuse will be available exclusively from Harvey Norman and Officeworks starting 28 August 2025. The phone costs $799 and includes a 12-month subscription to HarmBlock+, which will cost $26.95 per month after the first year.
