Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Andrew Steiner Education Centre
The Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Andrew Steiner Education Centre will be opened to the public on Tuesday 17 November 2020 following its launch on 9 November.
The launch took place on the anniversary of Kristallnacht or Night of Broken Glass when the Nazis torched synagogues and vandalised Jewish homes, schools, businesses and killed close to 100 Jews. In the aftermath of Kristallnacht, 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to concentration camps.
The museum offers education about the Holocaust and commemorates the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators during the Second World War.
It is free to visit but bookings in advance recommended book to ensure that the museum remains COVID Safe for visitors, volunteers and staff.
