Spring school holidays at Wirraway Homestead!
Looking for school holiday activities in Adelaide and South Australia that get kids outdoors and trying something new? Wirraway Homestead offers hands-on farm and horse experiences for kids and teens, from meeting and caring for farm animals at Muddy Boots & Farm Friends, to a full Horse Adventure Day of riding and horsemanship. For an even bigger adventure, the new three-day Horse Clinic Camp combines horse riding and trail rides with camping, campfires and time spent exploring the great outdoors. All programs are fully supervised by the BaptistCare SA team and designed to build skills and confidence while having plenty of fun along the way.
Muddy Boots & Farm Friends
This engaging and fun 90-minute session goes beyond a one-off animal encounter, giving attendees the perfect opportunity to get hands-on with a wonderful mix of our farm animals, including miniature cows, pigs, goats and poultry. Attendees will take part in genuine animal care, such as feeding and handling, while also learning about responsible animal care.
6 & 7 October 2026 | 10am – 11.30am | Ages 5+ | $25 per child and accompanying adult free
Horse Adventure Day
Spend a full day immersed in horse care and riding at Wirraway Homestead. Grooming, tacking and riding with gentle instruction. No experience required, just a love of horses, confidence and a sense of adventure.
Single day adventures.
6, 7 & 8 October 2026 | 10an – 4pm | Ages 10-14 | Cost: $168 (Early bird pricing of $128 finishes on 14/09/2026)
Horse Clinic Camp
Three action-packed days immersed in horses, wide open spaces and campfires under the stars.
Day one builds the riding and horsemanship skills you’ll need – growing confidence in the saddle and learning essential horse care – before two days exploring the property on trail rides. Spend one night in our comfortable dorms and one night camping in the bush (tent provided), with a campfire, peaceful surroundings and a sky full of stars.
Whether you’re here to improve your riding, connect with nature or just have a unique adventure, it’s one you won’t forget.
