Horse Riding in Hahndorf
Kirby Park Stud and the Megan Jones Eventing Team Riding School are located in Hahndorf and offer horse riding lessons and trail rides throughout the year.
Riders can enjoy a scenic 1 hour trail ride through the beautiful hills of Hahndorf at Kirby Park Stud. MJET offers a great team of horses and ponies to suit all levels of riders. Their friendly and experienced staff will guide you through the gum trees on their glorious 100 acre property in the Adelaide Hills.
The minimum age to participate is 7 years old and the maximum weight for a rider is 100kg (riders between 90-100kg need to apply as horse suitability is limited).
Riders will need to wear long pants (such as jeans), at least a short sleeved shirt (no singlet tops) and sturdy shoes with a small heel and smooth sole. A release of liability form must be filled out before riding can commence and riders must be clothed appropriately to ride.
Riding Lessons
The Megan Jones Riding School offers a range of horse riding lessons given by qualified and experienced horse riding instructors led by South Australian Olympic Silver Medallist, Megan Jones. Their team of horses are experienced and well educated as school mounts and are handpicked for their gentle nature and ride-ability.
