Outdoor Cafe – Kiosk on 16 | Victoria Park | CLOSED

Kiosk on 16 at Victoria Park is PERMANENTLY CLOSED

UPDATE JAN 2024: Currently Imber’s Donuts Adelaide | Victoria Park | Open Weekends

After years of renovating the heritage listed building that sits along side the Britannia roundabout, Kiosk on 16 quietly opened their doors late in 2017.  With fresh landscaping and plenty of shade, the small outdoor cafe can be found nestled amongst trees and surrounded by green lawn and garden beds, just behind the Victoria Park grandstand.

The cafe was named after its location Victoria Park/Pakapakanthi, also known as the City of Adelaide’s Park 16.

This area of Victoria Park is surprisingly quiet, despite being quite close to the Britannia roundabout.  The area is partially fenced from the main roads, with the seating area facing in towards Victoria Park’s Criterium Track.  This is a fabulous area for families to sit and relax after a bike ride or walking the family dog.  There are tables and chairs and picnic rugs on the grass too.  There are bowls of water provided for dogs as well as free treats for your four legged family members!

If you plan to put your feet up and take a break, there are games to play, trees to climb and plenty of room to run around.

The kiosk menu offers outdoor dining and takeaway options for breakfast and lunch.  There’s coffee and coconut milk smoothies, bacon and egg rolls and granola with yoghurt, plus a range of cold drinks, icecreams and baked goodies.  There are vegan options available too, including the ever popular Cocowhip.

When not in use for official events, there is so much to do at Victoria Park, making it a popular weekend spot for families.

There is parking off Fullarton Road (enter just after Grant Avenue), and along Wakefield Street.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Kiosk on 16 often closes during inclement weather so please check their Facebook or Instagram page before visiting to avoid disappointment.  During the colder winter months they are closed Wednesdays and Thursdays.
